Fernhurst Cricket Club - Colt / Junior News

Under 7's - 50 or More

The under 7 year groups are very full. We have therefore reluctantly decided to close this age group to new applicants. Once this age group has realised all the paperwork etc. we fear it could reach 50. This is our max limit as we do not have enough coaches for more even with Mark Langridge coming forwards. It is fantastic news for the club that we have so many wanting to join the coaching success here at Fernhurst.

If you hear have any enquiries come forwards please let them know that in the new year we will be having a sign-up-day prior to season starting. This should then ensure we get enough coaches on board. Many thanks and sorry to disappoint those that did not manage to join

Last year was our second season running a junior section, it would seem to have been a success. At no time did they let the club or themselves down.

A couple of parents have been studying for their ECB Level 1 coaching qualification and a whole host of members and helpers have been through the ECB CRB process.

The cost for a season of junior coaching will be,
  • New members, first 3 sessions free, £20 thereafter.
  • Existing members, registered last year, £15 if paid by 30th April, £20 afterwards.
If your son or daughter would like to join us training commences on Saturday April 18th at 10am through to 11.30.

We are keen to recruit more parent helpers so if you can help please contact the Junior Section Manager - Rob Unwin on 07740613357.
