Code of Conduct
Fernhurst Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members.
We believe it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents, carers or guardians associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about safeguarding with the Safeguarding Officer and the Chair. As a member of Fernhurst CC you are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:
• All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
• All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
• Members should not use bad or loud language which sets a poor example to young people and could damage the reputation of the club.
• Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
• Members must wear suitable kit for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach/team manager.
• Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.
• Smoking on club premises is not permitted, nor while representing the club at competitions. Strict action will be taken against any juniors seen smoking/vaping or consuming alcohol or anyone seen using drugs.
• Members should never consume alcohol or smoke/vape while actively coaching, managing or working with juniors.
• Members must never provide alcohol to young people when they are under the care of the club.
