U15 Champions!
Fernhurst top their division
Many congratulations to our Under 15 team for securing the title in their division of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship (Tier 2 West). Confirmation of other results finally came through today. Since the beginning of May they have travelled far and wide, putting much 'bigger' clubs to the sword. They have done it with great Fernhurst Spirit, which has been wonderful to see. The smiles and the teamwork say it all. Several U15s are already playing senior cricket on Saturdays and Sundays.
Juniors' Manager Rob Unwin says "It is a fantastic result and reward for the effort all the U15s put in this season. Every single member of the squad contributed in some way to their success, be it a smart bit of fielding, a catch, runs or a wicket or just a supportive word to a team-mate. I am immensely proud of them. They are a fantastic group and it’s always a pleasure for myself and Colin to manage their matches.”
